Noob goes to school

In the Digital Distribution group at IGN Entertainment we’re diversifying our toolset to not only include .NET applications but also extending ourselves the flexibility to choose the right tool for the job.  One of our first targets is the implementation of a wildly feature rich and mature PHP application (details to follow later).

I haven’t worked with PHP in years so I’m enrolling myself in a self education program which started with attending the Orange County PHP user group meeting earlier this evening.  The crowd of 20-30 was great.  There was a diverse range of experience amongst the attendees, a bit of healthy debate, and some good conversation.  It’s always great to meet new folks with similar nerdy interests.  Thanks for the great meeting OC PHP!

Last but not least we’re looking looking for a senior PHP engineer to join our brilliant team of software engineers.  If you’re interested in the opportunity in Costa Mesa, CA I’d love to hear from you!
